Malos tempos para os fantasmas (‘Hard Times for Ghosts’)

Synopsis

When Marta turns eleven, her family leaves the village they live in and moves to the city. They rent a spacious old house next to an enormous park; a house about which disturbing rumours circulate.

Once they have settled into the new accommodation, mysterious events begin to occur, which affect Marta in particular. The girl discovers that an invisible being lives in the house, with whom she can communicate through the computer. A ghost with unusual powers, condemned to remain in the mansion until it is destroyed.

Malos tempos para os fantasmas is a mystery novel which humorously deals with the difficulties involved in facing multiple changes (hometown, schools, friends, sentimental ties, etc.) during the years of change between childhood and adolescence.
