Ler en galego (‘Reading in Galician’)

Synopsis

With refreshing intensity, this volume addresses the process of encouraging reading from the classroom. Strategies and books are not only presented as a simple theoretical corpus, but also as materials which rely on creativity, practicality and the development of experience.
The main purpose of this work is to offer a manual in which there is a relationship between Galician children’s and young adult literature, with suggestions on encouraging reading through the use of this material. Contributing to a taste for reading in Galician from a very young age becomes an important element in the linguistic normalisation process still pending in Galician society.
