O centro do labirinto (‘The Labyrinth’s Centre’)

Synopsis

In 2054, Sara Mettmann, a member of the G-12 organisation which controls the destiny of Europe from the shadows, travels to Galicia, the land of her ancestors, which is now considered a UCZ (Uncontrolled Zone), in order to examine some enigmatic rock carvings and, at the same time, spend her holiday with her son David and thus re-establish some sort of contact with him. Once in Galicia, David mysteriously disappears. A science fiction novel in which the author makes a statement against a society which understands globalisation as the destruction of diversity.

By means of a very believable young man, David, for whom the trip means the discovery of his roots and the beginning of adult life (his first love, confrontation against his mother’s ideas, making his own decisions), the author creates a world in which identity, tolerance and difference are positive features.
