As fronteiras do medo (‘The Frontiers of Fear’)

Synopsis

This book unites six short stories which oscillate between mystery and terror, in an explicit homage to H.P. Lovecraft on the 75^th anniversary of his death. The varied plots draw from the mythology linked to megalithic monuments, from the terror of the deep, from the existence of entities which do not belong to the natural world order. Even so, the essence of these stories does not lie mainly in the storyline, but in the atmosphere which develops as the story progresses, involving the reader with details which provoke surprise, create doubts and cause uneasiness, culminating in the unsettling discomfort which fear produces.
